TREF Analysis Additional Detectors
Other detectors can be used in Polymer Char’s TREF Instrument in line with the infrared detector:
Composition and C=O content
A composition sensor or a carbonyl sensor can be placed in the infrared detector IR4 to measure the number of CH3/1000C or the CO content in EVA type resins and others correspondingly. Composition and concentration are measured simultaneously.
Viscometer
By connecting a capillary viscometer to a TREF, the bulk Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) is measured, and therefore results on the Molar Mass tendency versus the CCD curve are obtained.
